Das Netzwerkprotokoll BACnet wurde von der American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) entwickelt. BACnet wird in der Gebäudeautomation eingesetzt.

Für BACnet gibt es einen ANSI-Standard und eine ISO-Norm.
